It's not the tasks. It's that you have to think of them.
The Mental Load Shift is a 120-day coaching program for the parents on your team. One person starts the process, both reshape daily life, and the familymind app keeps the agreements alive for a full year.
You're not the only one doing things.
But often the one keeping track.
It's not the single task. It's the responsibility of thinking of everything, which almost always falls on one person.
Talent isn't lost because parents want less.
It's lost because systems don't carry the load.
Companies invest in women's advancement, leadership and retention. One decisive factor stays private: the unequal split of care work and mental load. The consequences show up very concretely at work.

It's allowed to get lighter. Not perfect.
Not 50/50 by spreadsheet. Not another to-do list. A daily life where you understand what is actually being carried.
What does each of us really carry?
Surface what's in your head, and turn it into real areas of ownership.
What do we want to live as a family?
From a compass of values to a concrete agreement, your shared Family Canvas.
What's holding us in place?
Loosen the beliefs and patterns that block change, without blame.
Which routines actually hold?
The app keeps your agreements alive and turns them into lived practice.
Three coaching sessions, one best-practice share, twelve months of the app.
One person starts the process. Between sessions you bring exercises home and into the conversation with your partner. After 120 days, you secure what you've built.
Check-in · Family Canvas and north star
What matters to us as a family? Which values should guide daily life? A first shared orientation.
A structured conversation with your partner
Reflection questions to take home. A dialogue about values, needs, and how you want to share responsibility.
Check-in · Making the mental load visible
Getting the invisible work out of your head. Tasks, thinking, planning and emotional responsibility become nameable.
Defining task areas and ownership
Gathering tasks, bundling areas of ownership, agreeing a definition of done. First responsibilities get re-shared.
Check-in · Immunity to change
Spotting the beliefs and defenses that block change. Designing safe, small experiments for everyday life.
Putting it into practice with familymind, inside Even
The app stores your agreements, thinks ahead, and reliably reminds the right person. Intentions become practice.
Best-practice sharing
What changed? Which routines truly hold? A final reflection and consolidation, and for employers, a debrief with HR and L&D.
Andrea & Rosa
Andrea Böckle
Andrea guides parents to get the mental load out of their heads and re-share responsibility across the family system. Her approach pairs honest reflection with structure, so insight becomes lived practice, across all three check-ins and the best-practice share.
Rosaria Di Donna
Rosaria, founder of familymind, facilitates the program and is your personal contact, from sign-up to the best-practice share. She connects the coaching with the app, so agreements actually hold in everyday life.
The program lives in the app, not in a PDF. Or worse, in an Excel.
The Mental Load Shift is carried inside familymind by Even, the load-sharing skill. What you agree in coaching becomes lived routine here, with reminders to the right person at the right time.
- Agreements become visibleAreas of ownership instead of loose tasks, visible to everyone.
- The app thinks aheadReminders reach the responsible person, with no chasing.
- 12 months of supportDeliberately longer than the coaching, because habits take time.
Employees whose mental load also hits your pipeline.
One person from the parenting team takes part, reflects, and brings structured exercises into the conversation with their partner.

Work-life balance is talent strategy, not a perk.
The program pairs coaching depth with app-supported follow-through, and makes the impact measurable.
Retention
Employees with care responsibility feel real relief and are more likely to stay in role rather than scale back.
Leadership capacity
Parents regain mental capacity for professional growth. Balance turns into readiness to lead.
Employer branding
Make work-life balance a visible part of a modern talent strategy, a signal inside and out.
Measurability
Pre- and post-pulses on relief, follow-through, perceived availability and retention.
Answers to the questions that matter.
Is this couples coaching?
No. The Mental Load Shift is not couples coaching or couples therapy. One person from the parenting team takes part, reflects on their own situation, and brings exercises and conversation prompts into the dialogue with their partner.
Does my partner have to take part?
Real change needs the conversation between partners, but your partner doesn't attend the coaching sessions. They're involved through the exercises, conversations and shared agreements.
Why four sessions and not three?
Three check-ins create the depth: Family Canvas, making the mental load visible, immunity to change. The fourth session after 120 days is best-practice sharing: what changed, which routines hold? Without that last step, change often fades in everyday life.
How long do I have access to the app?
Twelve months. The program runs for 120 days; the app support deliberately runs longer, because habits take time. So your agreement isn't just an insight, it becomes a system that carries you through daily life.
Is this a women’s advancement program?
It can be used as one, but shouldn't address only women. The lever is making care responsibility a shared topic. Women are relieved when responsibility is re-shared across the family system, not just reflected on by them.
What does the program cost?
We're starting with a pilot and keeping the barrier to entry deliberately low, to learn as much as possible. Secure a place and we'll walk through the details with you, and with your employer where relevant.
So it doesn't take you ten years.
Tell us a little about you and we'll be in touch within two working days with the next steps for your pilot place.
- A real conversation, not a sales script
- A pilot with a low barrier to entry
- For you, or through your employer
