Family life has never been more demanding. Parents today manage careers, emotional care, school logistics, medical appointments, social planning, relationship work and constant decision making. Much of this work is invisible. Much of it is carried by mothers. All of it takes a toll on families and on society.
When we started familymind, our goal was not to build another productivity tool. Our goal was to build relief. Relief that helps families run smoother. Relief that brings fairness and calm. Relief that gives parents more time with their children and more presence in their own lives. Relief that supports working mothers and fathers so they can thrive at home and at work.
After months of building and testing with more than 500 families, one truth has become clear.
Families do not need more apps. Families need support.
Support that understands them. Support that lifts the weight they carry. Support that restores balance.
This is why we are launching a crowdfunding campaign and an institutional fundraising round in parallel. Both funding paths serve different purposes, but together they bring us closer to a world where families feel more supported and less overwhelmed.
Two Funding Paths With One Mission
Fundraising for scale
We are preparing an institutional round with business angels and early investors. This capital will help us grow our team, strengthen our technology and expand our Family AI Assistants. It provides the foundation we need to scale responsibly and securely.
Crowdfunding for community and co creation
Crowdfunding has a different purpose. It brings our users and families along on the journey. It creates a community that shapes familymind with us. It gives families a voice and a place in the future they want to build. And it keeps us grounded in real life challenges rather than theoretical assumptions.
Institutional support brings resources.
Crowdfunding brings belonging.
Families bring direction.
We need all three.
Why Crowdfunding Matters To Us And To Families
Crowdfunding allows us to stay committed to our core values.
It lets us
• build with families rather than for them
• stay close to lived experience and real needs
• develop features that directly respond to user patterns
• keep parents and caregivers at the center of everything
• strengthen our impact story with a community that believes in this mission
Crowdfunding is not a marketing move.
It is an act of collaboration.
Families deserve a tool that reflects their realities. And the only honest way to build such a tool is to involve them from the very beginning.
What We Are Learning By Building A User Centric Product
Listening to families has been the core of our process. Their stories reveal patterns that are universal.
Parents want support, not another task
Parents tell us they feel tired of maintaining tools. They want an assistant that lightens their load. Not more lists. Not more screens.
Families want shared clarity
When information is shared across partners, tensions decrease and care becomes fairer. No one wants to be the default parent.
Time is the most valuable resource
Families want more time to enjoy each other. More presence. More calm. Less time spent planning, reminding or coordinating.
Fairness at home shapes equality everywhere
When care work becomes more visible and more shared, women stay in leadership tracks and men engage more in caregiving. Both outcomes strengthen society.
These truths guide our roadmap. They show us where to innovate. They help us build a Family AI Assistant that truly serves the needs of modern families.
Why This Matters For Society
This work is bigger than an app. It is about the structure of everyday life. It is about the emotional and economic health of families. It is about the future of work.
Families hold society together
When families struggle under pressure, workplaces feel it, communities feel it and children feel it.
The mental load is a public issue
Unpaid care work has real economic value. It influences participation in the labor market, productivity, equality, mental health and long term career paths.
Care work is infrastructure
Care is the foundation that allows other forms of work to happen. Supporting it is not a luxury. It is essential.
Children thrive when parents are supported
Calmer homes and predictable routines shape healthy emotional development.
Familymind is not only a product. It is an investment in family wellbeing and in the future of our society.
Why This Matters For The Economy
Supported parents stay in the workforce
When parents are less overwhelmed, they stay engaged. This supports retention, reduces absenteeism and increases productivity.
Equality at home drives equality at work
Shared responsibilities create opportunities for women to lead and for men to contribute more fully as caregivers.
Workplaces benefit from calmer households
Less stress at home means more focus at work. It benefits teams, managers and companies.
Unpaid care work has measurable value
Globally the value of unpaid care work reaches trillions. Reducing friction here unlocks economic potential.
Familymind creates a bridge between family life and working life. It supports both worlds and creates measurable value for organisations and economies.
The Cultural Shift Toward Shared Care
Families are ready for new norms.
Men want to participate more in daily care.
Women want to step out of the default role.
Parents want more fairness and more clarity.
Children thrive when responsibilities are shared with intention.
A tool that makes this easier supports a cultural shift that is already underway. It reflects the future families want to see. It supports healthier partnerships and more balanced homes.
This is not only a product decision. It is a cultural one.
The Role of AI in Human Wellbeing
AI can feel abstract or intimidating, but in families it has a simple purpose.
It helps people be more human.
AI frees time
Families can spend less time organizing and more time connecting.
AI supports healthier relationships
Fair distribution reduces resentment and builds teamwork.
AI strengthens emotional wellbeing
By reducing stress and decision fatigue, families feel lighter and more present.
AI supports children
A calmer household is a better environment for learning and development.
Technology does not replace human care.
It supports it.
What This Campaign Means To Us
This campaign is personal.
We are two parents building what we needed ourselves. We know the pressure families feel. We know the late nights, the coordination, the reminders, the guilt, the mental juggling. This campaign is our promise that families deserve more support and more time for what truly matters.
We want to build this with you. We want families everywhere to feel seen and supported. We want to help parents breathe easier and live more fully.
Institutional fundraising allows us to scale.
Crowdfunding allows us to stay true to our mission.
Families allow us to build a product that matters.
This is not just a campaign.
This is a shared step into a future where families thrive.
